GEOLOGISTS TOOL PREPARATION:
a durable, but heavy, one can be made out of bamboo bought from
Watson's. Better material is reeds from by the river (see Japanese Knotweed)

DAXOPHONE
Daxophone, meaning voice of the badger. A post-orchestral,
pro-piezo method of bowing wood. The geologist's tool, however,
is reed against stone. This is more like a "Dax-Tube", hence its
inclusion in the unit on tubes.
To use the Dzreng, i.e. the implement of destruction:
Take it and hold it like a great pen, at a node near where it meets the
stone. The piezo transducer should be in the air, it should be
airy, or aired. The piezo is thus free to pick up any vibrations
that may traverse the Dzreng. The dzreng is thus begun to draw a
circle (ensou) on
the stone. Hold it almost vertically so the circle of the tube
intersects the face of the geology. It can be brought to resonate
based on the different clays in the specimen. This can be entered
into 8 bit digital delay for looping purposes.
